I've always wanted to make my girls Halloween costumes but this is the first time I've actually done it. The majority of the materials are recycled from thrift store finds or are from my stash. So, the total cost was very low, but it took me about 3 1/2 days of nothing but sewing to finish. Everything else got ignored and my house was a disaster area by the time I was done! Smiley But, it was definitely worth it!

That is so CLEVER! You did a great job interpreting the characters into costumes for your girls! I sympathize with the house being a wreck after sewing for a long period of time. I'm still sifting through the wreckage, and trying to get laundry done after crafting/sewing for Halloween. Now I have a birthday and Christmas to get through. and it looks like your kids are about the same ages as mine. Kudos to you Mom!

Oh, this is great! The whole group looks spectacular together, and they are each so cute! I agree with CW; your interpretation of each character is lovely! I knew instantly when I saw them who they were and they look so much better than any store bought costumes would have looked. And how fun to go as a group! I hope someday when I am a mom I am as cool as you guys and make my kids awesome stuff too!
