I received my stocking package from polkadotts yesterday. She sent me all kinds of lovelies. First up not one not two but fifteen vintage patterns.  I love looking at them and there are several I think I may be able to sew up with just a little adjustments.  I think I actually have some of these that I got when I was a teen or in my 20s. Wow does that mean I am vintage yikes.

I got some candy and coffee.  A piece of Christmas fabric.  A lovely smelling herbal heating pad and I love the fabric she choose for this too. And under it all is a Texas bandanna.  I like that she sent me something to represent her home State.

And the stocking is a cowboy boot.  Polkadotts went with a cowboy theme because I told her I wanted a man for Christmas. There are 12 giant paperclip bookmarks with jewels on them. And two cowboy Santa ornaments.  I can't wait to try the redbeans and rice she made me a kit for. IT has all the ingredients and a recipe and a big tin of Zaterains Cajun seasoning. And the most adorable cookbook. Deep South Staples or how to survive in a southern kitchen without a can of cream of mushroom soup.  I love this it has the cutest vintage photos in it and some delish recipes, and some cute stories.   She also made me some woodburned utensils with my name on them.

Linnybelle, I'm glad you like your stocking and all the little goodies.  And I'm happy that your BF liked his little surprise.

I received my stocking package from polkadotts yesterday. -snip- And the stocking is a cowboy boot.

what type of material is that boot made from?

and thanks for reminding me that swap packages come in all sizes....   Wink
it helps with my swap anxiety that I didn't send enough after some of these huge packages have been shown off.

Try having one of those partner's boxes in the trunk of your car, just WAITING to go to the post office, but you have to hold off sending, since your partner is out of town!  Huh

BTW i love the man theme going on there.

i'd be tempted to mail it parcel post to arrive in 14 days or so... hopefully the partner would be home by then.... but at least I wouldn't forget to mail it.

I'm back finally!!!  I was back home yesterday, but spent the day grocery shopping and unpacking and sleeping. Cheesy

I love everything posted so far!  I think this will be the best Christmas Stocking Swap Gallery so far!!

Pinokeeo - the leather stocking is amazing! Shocked

I really like the deer stocking too - so cute!

Tracethekat - I'm so glad that you like your stuff!  The embroidery about killed me, I never do it and I was really worried about it.  I had second thoughts on the blanket, but now I'm glad I sent it. Smiley  Can you believe I got that plaid piece in the remnants??  AND it cost practically nothing!!  I just fell in love with the colors. Smiley

I like your floppy disk purse and container. I made something similar last year for a relative. Cool Stuff!

The purse or the box?  I'm currently trying to gather enough floppy disks to make a briefcase for my son.

Welcome back, Sevs!
