This year I went as the Queen of Hearts from Alice and Wonderland. It was kind of my own version. I used an old bridesmaid's dress, and a red corset for the top.
For the belt I took a piece of elastic and taped cards to it. For the collar and cuffs I used an old red tie (taken apart and re-sewn) and coffee-filters to make the puffy-ness. They were layered on top of one another and made the perfect Elizabethian collar thingy. :}

You can't see in many of the pics, but I have a tiara on, and a felt rose that I made myself in my hair.

Hope you guys enjoy!

That is really classy! I saw a lot of Queen of Hearts costumes on Halloween but they were all pretty umm.. revealing and cheap looking. This is much nicer. Great job.
