yes..I would go with a FO issue..meaning that it wasnt incorporated well..

so, is the soap safe for sharing? Or do you think there are pockets of irritating FO?

I havent had an issue with it..you may want to try a piece and see how it performs for you..

I found it to be purely a looks issue..

Soap licking is dangerous..please dont try it at home

will trade some soap for a superhero cape which will be used by the kid in my avatar ^^

whew! aesthetics are not the most important thing in soap (thankfully!) and with the other part darkening nicely, the spots are less noticeable Smiley

I too am having that -oh my goodness the holidays are a comin'- What an excuse to Soap- feeling. I'm lovin' the blue swirl soap. Great job - and Yeah on being so productive !

Your lye is actually dissipated in 24 hours after you put into the mold.. so your family and friends will be just fine.
You can actually begin using the soap within a couple days, not all recipes require 6 weeks.  But the longer the soap cures, the harder the bar, and the longer it lasts.

The spots are most likely from you vanilla.  Depending on the type of vanilla used, they have a tendency to attach to small particles in the soap and that is why you see it.. thinking it might have something to do with the silk you added..
