I posted this in Halloween before I found out there was a challenge. So I hope it's okay that it's been cross posted!
So it was my 7.5 month old daughter's VERY FIRST HALLOWEEN. How could we NOT go handmade? This cost us less than $3 to make, and took about 3 hours. Which was a good thing, since I was a bad last minute mommy and waited until the last possible week to start working on this.

I made the wig out of some cheap, stretchy fabric I found in the clearance section of our local craft store. The buns are just long tubes stuffed with filling I took out of an old pillow. I hand sewed the buns to the main part of the hat and voila! Instant hair for baby!
Her "gown" was made from an old shower curtain. It was barely used (the top plastic backing for the shower rings had fallen off) and it had a slight sheen which made it perfect for the gown. I took a shortcut and instead of hemming the sleeves and skirt, I cut the pieces I needed out along the bottom of the shower curtain hem. It saved a lot of sewing time!
My husband made the belt. He works at a sign shop so he used some scrap banner material left over and the silver accents are just silver vinyl.
She had a little stuffed gun too! But I didn't get a good shot of it. Also, we just put a white terry sleeper that we happened to have under her gown since we didn't have white boots for her.
Here's one more picture of her standing:

Hope everyone had an awesome (and safe) Halloween!
