I had a really hard time choosing what to be this year. I thought it might be cool to be a carrot.. but I also wanted to be a super hero. Then I remembered.. it's Halloween, it's my costume, I can do what ever I want! Crime Fighting Carrot it is!

I have orange costume paint on my fingertips, face and neck. Orange tights on my arms and legs with lines painted on to look more like a carrot (the arms were leg tights that I just cut a hole for my head and slid my arms in the leg parts). The dress is green canvas that I cut into a million pieces and sewed together for a gardeny patchwork look. The neck strap is woven thin garden twine. Thick Garden twine for a whip. Black canvas that I sewed into a utility belt. Crocheted "anti-bunny" symbol for the chest. And my hair is a crocheted headband with strips of fabric pulled through then tied in a pony tail. My real hair is also sprayed green. The concept is that a carrot sprang to life one day, made this costume out of garden supplies, then went off to protect the other inanimate carrots.

I LOVE It! How creative are you? Wow. There actually is an awesome Carrot superhero comic character out there called 'The Flaming carrot'. You should check it out sometime, the comics are hilarious!

That is hilarious, and really well-executed!  Who knew a carrot could be so sexy?

Good idea, especially the anti-bunny symbol.

And in addition, in the Discworld series (by Terry Pratchett) there is a 'Captain Carrot' in the City Watch.
