The ManFlesh and I went to a Zombie Scavenger hunt party last night and I zombified our costumes from last year.  For his, I made these guts.

The works:

Some details:

A finger from my decoration stash and an ear inside the guts to the right of the ringer.

Some of the maggots from my maggot-making spree (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=324752.msg3749418#msg3749418).

The overall look:

Last years non-zombie version:

I'm not sure I've ever even commented on one of your posts, but you are totally amazing and I love you; everything you make is grand. This is AWESOME...and also hilarious. I remembered the non zombie versions. Smiley Man, the finger *with* the ring still on it is such a great touch...and of course the maggots make it all come together. Love it, love it, love it.
How does the whole thing attach...? Is it just a hidden band of fabric around the body?

Oh, wow! Aren't you sweet?  Lucky for me I didn't eat much candy last night, so I can still handle the sweetness.   Grin

I forgot to take photos of the attachment.  There are triangles of self-adhesive, extra strength hook and loop (Velco) on the top corners of the guts (which are sewn to felt). The adhesive wasn't sticking to the inside of the vest so well, so I sewed it across one side (you can see the stitches in the close ups).  I made sure to sew the loop (soft) side of the Velcro on the vest and the hook (rough) side to the guts so he could reuse the vest w/o the guts and without getting scratched if he wanted to.
