So, being the nerd that I am and having loved the new Star Trek movie as much as I did, I decided to go as a perennially ill-fated redshirt. Of course, as great as the new Star Trek was, the costumes (and hair) weren't nearly as excellent as those from the original 60s series.
(Yes, I did go as canon as I possibly could, and made sure my arm bands and pin were correct for rank and field; of course, if I wanted to go true canon the skirt would have had to be about a foot shorter, but come on--it was about 6 degrees outside! COLD!)

And now, I present to you: Security Officer, Lieutenant Pinkie!

Unfortunately, about the best shot I have of the full costume (with some pirates); also unfortunately, it doesn't show my crazy half-bouffant that took about an ounce of hairspray to hold up.

Close-up of my Starfleet badge, made of Fimo.

A fun artsy shot

Glad to see you survived the night, Red shirt!  Very nice costume!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I was a red shirt last year tooooo!!!!

I did kinda mash series together because I was a Trill (from voyager, just because the makeup was so freaking awesome) with a TOS uniform. But nobody knew the difference anyways... I got asked twice if I was Spock Tongue

Oh my, that is fabulous! Great job with the makeup--I'd love to see the full costume.
Ps, your Spock amigurumi is adorable :3
