First off, I apologize profusely if this is not the right spot for this.  I used a needle and couldn't think of anywhere else.  I did see some other felt pieces so I went ahead and posted it here.  I don't feel like it has a leg to stand on compared to some of these beautiful embroidered and cross stitched pieces.  But here goes..

I made this for a swap and am pretty new to the whole stitching scene but was very happy with how this one turned out.  It is constructed of craft felt.  Everything was stitched by hand.  It is in a 5 x 7 inch frame to give size perspective.  I reused an ugly plastic gold frame that I had and just painted it black and then sanded a little bit off and then put two coats of polyurethane on top.

This was a little bit of teaser for my partner but it shows a closeup of the stitches and the different layers of felt.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

This is great... 'Jack Skellington is for life, not just for Halloween   Cheesy...not sure if the US had a similar advert for silly people buying their kids puppies for christmas then trading them come January!!!

The pink background really adds to it.

...and i love that Dee-lite song

I really really really LOVE this! You did a great job!

Did you draw it yourself of did you use an existing picture to work from?

Beautiful!

I used an image from google images, printed it, cut each piece out separately that I needed for the different layers (lapel of coat, collar, bat tie, body, eye shape...)
