SB - You can also use a lampshade.  Just loosen the top so it spins freely and wind it from a ball from there. Smiley

OH!  Great idea!!!

ZS,
Too bad you couldn't have whipped up this hat in time
for Halloween:

(but maybe that would have been overkill  Smiley

Haha, the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the spongebob hat is "Spongebob is sucking out my brainsssssssss" with the person wearing it done up in zombie makeup lol. But maybe that's just me... Roll Eyes

Also, I am being super uber productive tonight! It started off with a light headache but I hit that with some excedrin and a hot shower and now I have finished packing up a claim, 2 personal swaps, my friend's birthday present, AND my family's xmas presents. Not to mention finally getting that pesky little thing done on my secret santa project that I've been putting off forever.

I am just teh awesome tonight. Thank you

haha. Ok I'm done now.

I don't even know what to say about my giant destash being a giant failure already.  I went to the thrift store today (looking for a mannequin head) and came back with this gigantic pile of yarn!  We're looking at about 100+ skeins/hanks/balls, all in either wool, cotton, or a wool/nylon blend.  It cost $30 for the whole lot....and I even had to leave a couple bags behind unclaimed in the store (so sad).

Excuse the terrible photo - I snapped it with my phone before the yarn took over the back seat of the car!

I can't wait to go through it tonight and see what's hiding in there but I'm super excited.   Grin

Finally got all the yarn in the house half expecting my husband to give me the "you bought HOW much yarn?" look.  Instead he asked where I got it and after explaining my thrift store trip, he says "that's probably worth a lot of money...you did well".  Ah yes, one of the many reasons why I love him.  Smiley

Anyway, I'm taking inventory while he watches basketball, so all settled in for a good night!

Hey all of you clothes seamstresses (ahem... ptarmic)! Is something like this do-able for this swap or is it too complicated? I'd love to get something like this to give to Greg for either Christmas or Valentine's Day. Grin
