When making small purses (coin purse type), I have probs w/making the corners look like corners. It always comes out looking like part of the seam is sewn in. I try to poke it out, but it doesn't come out. I would appreciate any tips you guys might have regarding zipper ends looking like it supposed to be. I've been shortening the zips & putting square fabric ends on it & it still comes out looking weird. Sewing it on is no prob, I guess it's how it's sewn & turning it right side out. Any zip tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you putting fabric ends on 'Both' ends of your zipper?

Take a look at this zipper work.  Maybe it will give you some ideas.

Yes, I have been putting tabs on both ends, but for some reason they don't come out looking as sharp as they could after turning them. I've been sewing the seam at least a 1/4" after the end of the actual zipper. I would think w/the little extra fabric there, it would help, but it ends up looking all bunched up. I try to poke it out, but it seems to be sewn that way.

I have seen that pic & she's using a full zipper, doesn't really help me. I'm shortening mine & not doing very well at it. Maybe I shouldn't be shortening my zips - I should prob revise my patterns. Altho I like the look of the tabs at the end of the zips.

I am planning to post a pic of my latest frustration. I am using it tho would never sell something like that.

Thanks PurseStuff.
