OK, here are the pictures. I received a wonderful package which will be a great opening to the gallery and make you all terribly jealous.

The first item was this notebook:

It has a quote on every side, and not only are they Daria and Jane quotes, but quotes from all kinds of characters, and extremely funny and typical.

This one says: Oh Daria, dont be shy. Show me your boobs." which is one of my favourite quotes. I only have one problem now: What am I going to put into this notebook without feeling I downgrade it? Wow, I really hope I have something really cool to jot down soon Grin

I pulled this out of the package and it took me a second to realize what it was: A practise boob purse to lift my attitude! Awesome!

to change your image viewing settings please click here
It came with a note that said: Your attitude isn't so bad after all. You probably one need one fake boob. Grin

And if you think the outside fabric is nice, you haven't seen the flesh side! Here's the purse turned inside out, and I bet the designers of this fabric had no idea how creepy it is Grin

This pencil holder is the reason that the package was extra heavy, and I must say extra awesome too.

Awesome logo, awesome hand painting, and very useful as my pencil holder is always overflowing with crochet hooks, scissors, tools, and the like, and needed help!

But you have seen nothing yet - look at the other sides of the pencil holder:

Looks like a real good cover for a Mystik Spiral album. Ah well, make that a single in case there is a tight time slot at the recording studio Grin

And finally, Melladh painted me some *faints* *recovers* yarn! *faints again*
(sorry about that, but exposing me to dye can do that Grin)
In Daria colors (green and black for clothes, brown for hair)

The picture doesn't do it justice at all! The colors are very rich and dark, and I can't wait to get it on my needles!

So thank you so much for this package, everything is my favourite, and I love all the personal little touches that refer to our communications! You are a great swap partner, Melladh!

Yay, happy you liked everything Cheesy Guess it was a good thing my original craft (that the yarn replaced) didn't come to fruition! Wink

PS I think your "matureimg" linking failed 'cause I can see it as text here...
PPS I wonder if anyone but the two of us have found the gallery, we sure are the only ones talking Cheesy Though that might just be saying something about the two of us! Wink

Couldn't believe the yarn came with an apology, it certainly doesn't need one.

Fixed the mature tag. Not even certain I'd need one, really, but on the other hand, I see it as a kind of highlight on the purse Grin Like "hey this thing is even more interesting than you'd have thought" Grin

Yeah, our private gallery. I must admit, I hacked craftster to hide it from everyone but us Grin Grin Ok, no, seriously, you are right, where is everyone? It's a Daria gallery! Come drool over Daria crafts! Maybe it's the time difference. Canada and the US are maybe still six days behind us Grin Grin

I'm feeling narcissistic so I just wanted to post the pics I took of the yarn Cheesy

First of all, here's a very silly newly-painted-yarn photo, to see where the colors came from Wink

OMG it's Daria, lying strangely on her back with her head on the right side of the photo! And she has no skirt on! And someone chopped off her arms!

When you microwave Daria, her features start to melt together, not unlike plastic. Maybe she did have that plastic surgery when she got older, after having been out of the spotlight for some time?

And then some cruel bastard went and twisted her mutated remains all up!

Wow, that before picture of Daria is unbelievable! Now I know what you meant when you said she has no skirt on... Well, the second picture proves that she actually IS an android who has been built by a crazy scientist Grin and now we know how she looks when her inner organs fall out Grin
What a cool way to dye yarn - you should post it in the dye board, I haven't seen anything like that before. I'll be one happy knitter this winter. Cheesy

shdwstrm - so glad you like everything - I had lots of fun!

And thank you everyone. I love the tote bag as well. In fact, it was a little hard to part with, ha.
I do love doing embroidery though, thanks.

oh and Ruby - the Daria/Pain photo is from one of the "Alter Egos" photos. I just thought it was perfect for a hot/cold pack. Cracked me up.

Love the yarn by the way - what a great technique.

I received from Harvey! Hooray! Cheesy

Here is a group shot of all my Daria goodies:

Close up images of the messenger bag detail and inside material... I love this bag!

Next I got some stationary and I thought the folder deserved a picture all by itself:

Here are the envelopes and paper, each "dpod" character has a tiny saying next to them... Daria "drown them out" and Quinn "be cute":

Also some felt ornaments and an pin from Australia!  Smiley The ornaments are so going on my tree this year, lol!

Thank you again Harvey for being such and awesome swap partner.  Smiley Can't wait for you to get your package!

I'm glad you liked everything. As I said in the letter drawing on the bag so reminded me of being at high school and decorating my school bag. The folder picture is currently my desktop wallpaper. My daughter wants me to make some of the ornaments for our tree. She is a big Daria fan too.

Great package! Ah, I want that stationary! And I love Darias grumpy look on the messenger bag! Awesome! Daria in a christmas tree? Connected to the year's most commercial and sentimental days - that she would maybe even be supposed to spend with family? Grin I guess they never made a christmas episode because it would have been too easy Grin
Haha, my kids were so curious about what this Daria stuff is all about, but I couldn't find any of the German episodes online, so I just played them the title songs, and they loved them!

Okay, here is the package I received last night from shdwstrm!

First off...these are stenciled pillowcases. They are awesome and glittery and very hard to take a good picture of when I have no light in the room!

And then all sorts of goodies...
A Ziggy Stardust Jane alter ego clock (one of my favorites!), and Artist at Work/Artist at Sleep door hanger, a Trent and Daria light switch plate!!!, a crazy green fluffy scarf (well, I think it's a scarf, ha!), and some extra weird goodies...a gross squishy thing and a coffin, haha!

And possibly my favorite part - it's hard to do it justice here, since I didn't want to post 5 pictures of it, but it's a hand painted mug with the Sick Sad World logo.
Brilliant.

Thanks for the package shdwstrm! Everything is great!!!

Finally you'll get to see the stuff I got from Ruby Copperhead! (I waited until I had some daylight to take pics in, so the camera would pick up colors better)

Firstly, a Jane chain bracelet which I've been wearing a lot

These really cute felted Daria and Jane

This really cool crocheted Daria (aren't her dolls awesome?)

And a great embroidered tote!

I think she said it was her first attempt, though I sure couldn't tell Cheesy It looks great. Needs ironing after the international trip it's taken, but you can see past that, can't you? Cheesy

The doll was so much fun to make! Only embroidering the face was almost impossible. Everything else just hijacked my brain and made me do it Grin Seriously, every other craft that would have made me redo so many parts would have gone to the Eternal WIP Box Grin but this one just went on.
The tote is my first time doing embroidery, and went well. Considering that I think I used the wrong kind of fabric, the wrong kind of thread, and the wrong kind of needle Grin The crumpled look must come from Melladh weeping tears of joy over it and clutching it to her heart Grin
