I went to a few garage sales a few days ago. I bought an Operation game. When I got it home I realized that it didn't work. I decided to keep the pieces to craft with. I decieded to make earrings.

I went to Walmart and I bought dangly earring pieces

I also bought some jump rings to make them danglier.
a small needle to make a hole in the operation pieces.

Then I used a bigger needle to make it big enough for the jump rings. It was easier to start with a small needle and then use a big one, than to start with the big one. It also worked better to make the holes closer to the sides on the thicker pieces. I had a hard time getting the jump ring in the wrench.

It took some trouble for me to get the jump rings to open. Maybe it was the kind I bought. I don't know. I used a needle to open them, and kept it in there, so it kept it open to connect the too jump rings together, and to connect them to the Operation pieces.

After I had 4 jump ring connected to eachother and to the operation piece.

Then I connected the jump ring to the earring piece, and I was done. Easy, and cute.
Here are some of them finished.

I hope you like them. They were really easy to make, with the exception of getting the jump rings to seperate and cooperate. Once I got the hang of that, it went well. The operation game cost me fifty cents. At Walmart the jump ring and the earring pieces cost me only $4. It was a cheap craft too.

they look pretty cool.  To open a jump ring, the best way to do it is to use 2 pairs of pliers, grab on either side of the opening, and pull apart sideways, as not to deform the ring.  If that makes sense, I hope it helps.

Yea, that makes sense. I tried it today. It worked, but sometimes they would just fly off and go crazy. that was amusing, but succesful. Thanks for the tip.
