I am proposing I would organize this swap. I would like to keep it under 20 people, as this is my first organizing attempt.
Here's what I had in mind...
I'd like to start sign-ups on Nov.2, closing by Nov. 10th.Or when full, if sooner.    Partners to be given as soon as signups are full. This means 19 people plus myself.
There will be 3 weeks to craft and fill a package, to be shipped out on Tues. Dec. 1st. That will  Still allow for people to re-send out gift items to thier own family & friends, such as hand-made cards, etc.
I would like it to include international members, out of the US. However, these packages should be on the lighter weights. I would try to pair up US people, with other US people, unless you are willing to ship Internationally.

Details: My thinking is this: It could be 50% crafted, or at least 1 Medium item, to be agreed upon. Someone may have a specific gift need.
The rest could be supplies.
It would be a great opportunity to use up stash, or craft with minimum purchasing of supplies. I would like to see this swap be affordable to everyone. One idea I have is to use thrifted greeting cards and envelopes, and make altered cards. A set of 8 would be considered a
medium item. That's just an idea.

I would like to offer package size options, to group people based on costs, if possible.

It would be small flat rate, to large flat rate. and an international group.

My ideas on Christ themed-- It does not mean that every item needs to be religious, but should reflect our mutual faith in representation. It would be good if at least something in the package made a Spiritual statement or was made with a Christian motif.

BUT: Paganism, or secular themes, are strictly out. This is not a swap for Santas!
Any one interested? I'm leaving this open for discussion 'till Nov. 1st, Midnite. On Nov. 2nd, a sign-up sheet will start.

Please PM Me if you are seriously interested, or would like to mentor me in organizing!!

Blessings to all! KLKing

I would be interested if the deadline to mail out would be extended to 12/01.

I think that would have to be the limit, I'm just wanting to make sure everything is recieved with time to spare.
Let's see what other comments we get, OK?  Thanks for responding!

I might be persuaded to jump in, too. We're pretty much Santa-Free, and love it that way. Jesus is the reason for the season, after all.
