Hi!  I'm fairly new to Craftster, so if there's been a swap like this and I've missed it, please just let me know (I searched but didn't find anything).  Would there be any interest in a swap dedicated to organizing one's crafts/supplies?    Maybe it's just me, but while there are some things I could use to help keep my crafts and supplies more organizers, I always end up doing something else.  If it were for someone else, though, I'm sure I'd get it done.  (My kingdom for a knitting needle/crochet hook roll!  Or possibly a knitting/crochet project bag, or some clever, fun way to organize my bobbins or ... you get the idea!)

I can't organize it since I haven't been in two swaps yet, but maybe someone else would, if there's enough interest?

So ... thoughts?

YES!

I concur!

I don't even like to think about the ridiculousness of my craft supplies. My storage system is like Hobby Lobby bag over here, Hobby Lobby bag over there, oh, thrift store bag under the desk!

Oh, yay!  Smiley  Perhaps after the holidays so it's not too stressful?  (And gives us all a chance to use some of our stash over the holidays and maybe get more at the after-holidays sales. It can be part of the whole resolution idea - I resolve to be more organized, etc?

I was thinking one large, one medium? Or really, whatever the organizer of it would want it to be! (Or perhaps by then I'll be able to organize it!)

yeah! sounds like a good idea!
i agree, im more likely to organise someone else than myself, i like the 'idea' of being organised, but never really know how to manage it!
we could even have stuff to make you organised by writing things down, like diaries, planners etc, for crafting things (swap deadlines, where you get to in a knitting pattern before deciding it needs to take a long hibernatio in the cupboard!)
yey!

also - just a personal thought- points swaps are sometimes better than size?
for me, personally, i get nervous making something and classifying something as big, and prefer do count things as smaller points and make more.
hope that makes sense, sorry im rambling, it might just be my view, but just a thought!
but it seems a great swap Cheesy
and as a resolution!after christmas rush
though, i guess it depends how soon people start their resolutions, because if people like to start on the 1st, the swap would need to be earlier.BUT, having it after christmas and arriving after the 1st would give people the chance to plan how they will be orgainsed once their goodies arrive!

Good call, purple_girl - you're right, points probably are easier for most people. (See, I'm very new to the whole swapping thing - I haven't even been able to participate in a swap yet!)  Maybe a 5 point swap then?

I also really like the idea of planners, calendars, etc.  What a great idea!  Oooh, this opens up the whole idea of bulletin boards and French memo boards (although hard to send, I'd think ...)

As for the dates, anytime is good for me, so long as I've finished my first swap (which should be done early Decemberish, I think!)

We also need to find someone willing to organize! Cheesy  Any takers?

I think after the holidays would be great for me. Not only can I resolve to be more organized, but I'll be moving at the end of the year too!

It would have to be in January for me. Unfortunately the budget doesn't allow much room for swaps, and I'm already signed up for three this month! (How did that happen?)   Lips sealed

I wouldn't mind signups in December, but can't send till January.

Yeah, bulletin boards might be hard to send, but wall organizers (fabric) would ship easily. Also rolls for knitting needles, crochet hooks, paintbrushes, or pencils. And fabric baskets, sewing machine covers, organizing notebooks, nesting boxes or cans.

Is there any way we could ship a willing helper to motivate and help me? That's what I could really use!   Cheesy
