Awesome. Then we'll plan on sign ups at the endish of December (still looking for an organizer unless I can get into two swaps between now and then!) with send-outs sometime in January.

Woot.

And zcrafter - I think shipping an assistant might be a bit difficult ...

Sounds like a good plan!!
I am willing to organise!! I think im  eligible, been in 3 swaps (positive feedback!) Grin
if i was to organise, which i would like to, unless anyone decides they dont want some crazy girl who loves purple organising an organise swap Tongue, then i may need someone to turn to if i run into compy difficulties. nothing major, just im not the most technical girl in the world, so editing peoples feedback after the swap etc (it may be easy, im not sure, never done it before!)

yey, organisation Cheesy

yey! cool, im all excited!!
so....i was just reading the rules..... not allowed sign ups longer than 1 month. And i was thinking, maybe quite a long crafting time (not years or anything, but maybe 1 month? - to give time for shopping etc, and crafting of course!), especially since it will be around christmas, new year time, so festivities etc! Then return to college, school, work etc can be hectic.
So it would depend how late people want to receive their stuff - end of january/beginnig of feb, allowing for postage time.
So i was thinking........... ........ maybe if we aim to have sign ups ending like a week or two before christmas, but then a month to craft and send?
Or is this to early for people?
Sorry, getting all excited and ready to go! But of course, if people find that later works better, that is fine!

Sounds interesting... My clutter could use some help, and I really need to start organising my bills better.

I guess I'm the opposite of you guys. I don't like point swaps at all so that's a bit of a turnoff and might make me skip this swap. Getting a package with 5 small items if I've made larger and more involved things doesn't sound like fun or fair at all. Not that I think anyone would try to get off easy, but... I just find it easier to know how big my package is supposed to be when the swap guidelines uses the traditional craftster sizes. Points have the potential of being much more unbalanced.

I have a bit of a large item fear too, but I usually solve that by asking my partner if they're okay with a set of two mediums instead of a large for example. Communication solves most things.

Maybe people who want to be paired with points can be paired up and people who want to be paired by size can be paired up?  I could go either way, if there's an uneven number!

I don't mind either method, but if sometimes the points can lead to weird unbalances. I think that if we do points, partners should say "With the 5 points, I'm making you 2 mediums and a small, okay?" so that partners are sending similar sizes/amounts.

Well, if you're gonna get all technical about it . . .
 Wink Wink Wink

Yes, that schedule sounds good to me. I'll be sending for my other swaps by the end of November, and crafting for my family Christmas will be pretty much done by mid December.

As for the point system or size system, I'm OK either way. I understand the feelings some crafters have about getting a bunch of small items, though. Whatever happens will work for me.

Yippee! We have an organizer!

yey loads of interest Cheesy
yeah, i see what people mean about points
i just never classify anything i make as large, because i get scared its not good enough Tongue
i guess i could just attempt to send something large, but send an extra, small item, in case!
