Here's my latest project. This is the first time this year that I have made a top that didn't use a knitted fabric. I have never used gauze fabric before, so this was another first - working with lace being the other first. I like how they both worked out together. This will not be my last time using either material.

Love it! Love the combination of the stripe with the lace.  I'm working on a gauze tunic right now, that I'd ditched because the neckline stretched out.  I've since fixed it with some clear elastic and taking up the shoulders.  I would certainly wear your top.  Great job.

Thanks. It's funny that you mentioned the neckline and straps - I recut the back of the neckline for this top to make it a better fit and also cut the straps, too. Must be the material.

Ooh that's really pretty. The lace makes for a great touch and the subtle stripe pattern of the fabric makes it more interested. Great job Smiley

Edited to ask: How do you get into it? Is there a zipper I'm not seeing or something?

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

Thanks! I'm really happy with it. There isn't a zipper, just a pull on top. Even though the fabric isn't a knit material, there's enough ease to throw it on. If I were to make a more fitted one, I'd have to go for a side zipper.

I'd probably wear something like this.  Cute!
