I dont s'pose between the Halloween crafting flurry and the Christmas crafting flurry theres much time for this. But with the return of the cold crisp air and short days of Autumn Ive been enjoying mystery novels and television more and more.

Would anyone enjoy a small/medium swap for those who love a good whodunnit? From Nancy Drew to Sue Grafton, Law & Order to Dragnet CSI to Quincy, Conan Doyle to Tony Hillerman we'll take all comers and as Mod (this would be the first swap I run so be gentle) that both writes and acts I can promise an interesting main thread and gallery thread style if nothing else.

It does sound interesting, but the timing is tight.... perhaps...

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

I'd love this, but maybe in January.  No time now.

I thought September mightve been a better time but than I got distracted. Mayhaps 2010 will be better.  Undecided  There might be other folks like me that always procastinate too long for any crafts centered around a particular date/occasion but still need to get in some craftin  Wink

Drama,
I love the idea of this (wasn't there another thread discussing this tied in with the game Clue?)....
am thinking that in Jan. folks will be getting bored after the holiday frenzy,
so it might go over well then!
I'll be watching~

I have watched so many discussions for mystery lovers swaps that go nowhere and I would LOVE to do one after the first year.  I hope this one comes to be.  I read more in the summer (it's very hot in the desert, you know,) and I love silly paperback mysteries.  You know the kind with puns in the title.  I also read serious mysteries and am always on the lookout for new authors.  This would be fun.  How big of a swap were you thinking?

Do you mean like "Dying for Chocolate"?  I love books like that.

Some of my favorite authors are:

Lillian Jackson Braun-Jim Qwilleran cat mysteries
Rita Mae Brown-also cat mysteries
Diane Mott Davidson-Goldie Schultz mysteries
Anne George-Southern Sisters mystery series

I also like the Alphabet murders, Kate Shugak, Iditerod murders, and Stephanie Plum

Oh, I would really love to do this! But not until January- I'm too busy with holidays and other swaps until then.
Some of my favorites are:
C.S. Harris- Sebastian St Cyr mysteries
Barbara Hambly - Benjamin January mysteries
Shirley Daamsgaard - Ophelia & Abby mysteries
Susan Wittig Albert - herb mysteries
& I love Stephanie Plum!
I hope this swap happens and I am able to participate! I'll keep an eye on this thread. Smiley
