I like your take on this style--pinks and browns are always lovely!

Glad to see this style still hanging around as I also love this pattern and still love to make this style when I can't think of something to give to someone!

Is the contrast fabric velveteen or some sort of napped fabric? It has a nice texture in the photo...

That's a really nice looking bag! Any more details about it?

I would love to be able to use "luxury" type fabrics one day.... The bag (and all of my bags I make for the time being) are all made from cheapo broadcloth and hobby lobby fabrics.
That is a super terrible picture.  The bags itself is a very rich pink with lighter pink and black.  The upper fab is a black.
I think my camera freaks out on white balance because the background wall is a ver light, bright robins egg blue, the weather here just hasnt been good enough for me to get good shots outside Sad

I think that my neurotic sense to have things "perfect" when im sewing makes up for the cheapie fabric.

It is still a lovely color combo!  Cheesy

I wouldn't sweat the fabric choice much...I find that I get tired of my bags pretty quickly so I would rather have a lot more in "cheapo" fabric than just a few in expensive fabrics!!  If you make them well, it can make the bag look a lot more expensive...I have seen expensive fabric look cheap because the person left hanging threads or other simple things to make it look that way!

Again, thanks for the details and for posting!  Have fun making MORE!!!! ha ha

I absolutely adore this bag! I was wondering where I could find the pattern for this bag? It's too cute not to try out!

Have you checked the tutorial list?  I think there are some pretty good tutes that are very similar...save a few bucks on a pattern, if you want! Wink
