I made this fox by needle-felting onto a piece of polyester foam, which I had carved into the fox shape with scissors and a knife:



This is quite a good way of saving wool if you are needle-felting larger 3D pieces. If you made the whole thing out of wool, you would need a lot. Here, I only had to put on 1-2 layers of wool.

I have it on a shelf at the moment, but it could be cuddly. With the foam inside, though, it is a bit stiff - always stays in the same shape.

Also not suitable for babies, as fluff will come off felt and it's probably not that healthy to put in your mouth.

 :-\i didn't think of that! my cousin is four, but he still might eat it... i'm not sure.  i'm probably going to make one anyway, just to put in my room!
