My husband and I are going as ghostbusters this year for halloween! The proton packs are still in-progress, but we wore them to a costume party last weekend. We plan on adding more "flair" to them for next weekend when my best friend from middle school is getting married and having a costume reception. I'll post more pictures from the wedding after Halloween.

I made my dress from an XL men's shirt. I cut the sleeves off, hemmed up the sides, and put 2 darts in the back. The name tags and ghost patches are made with iron-on transfers. I ironed the designs onto white fabric, cut them out, and hand stitched them to our shirts.

The proton packs started out as styrofoam cooler lids. We duct taped on some pie tins, tupperware cups, and old chocolate boxes to add dimension. Spray painted black, added old computer parts and little metal tea light cups. The particle throwers are made of of pringle cans (the lays brand) and the hoses are made from an old hookah hose we had lying around. The straps are just thick black ribbon. The Mr. had the ghostbusters theme music on his phone playing for the full effect  Cheesy
Most of this stuff came from goodwill, after all was said and done, I think is was under $20 for our costumes. Woot!
