In the grand scheme of things it wasn't really too bad.  They made off with my wii and wii stuff, games, laptop, iPod and some DVD's.  The worst though is they stole all the money out of my son's piggy bank!

Stole your son's money from his piggy bank??  That's LOW, and I mean belly-dragging-the-bottom-of-the-ocean LOW....how slimy to steal from a child  Angry

Matieral things can be replaced, good thing you were not there or it may have ended up worse.

I can't believe they stole from your son! How old is he? Did any neighbors see anything? I'm so glad you are safe.

Luckily the thiefs weren't interested in any of my crafty goodness.

Spoken like a true Craftster. Cheesy

I'm glad that you are ok, and I agree it's pretty low to steal from a child.  That's scraping the bottom of the barrel. Angry

My son is 4, I am sure they would have stolen my daughters piggy bank if there had been any money in it.  She's not so good at saving her money!
Even the cops said how low it was for them to still from a child.  Nobody saw anything since it seems they came in through my back door somehow.

Thanks for all the thoughtful words.  Now I am ready to get a package in the mail, a little goodness would go a long way right about now!

Oh no Lindy! I am so sorry! And I agree that was pretty low to steal your son's piggy bank. I would be devastated if someone broke into my home. Especially if they took my laptop as it has many photos throughout the years on it (this motivates me to back them up actually...). Oddly enough I would be the most upset if they took my stuffed lion, Roary. Yeah, I know, I'm 21 and that is what I'm worried about...but I am. It's weird when something like this happens and you realize what really matters to you. Glad no one got hurt. Don't feel you have to get the package out tomorrow. Especially given all the chaos between the burglary and your son's medical stresses.

Oh Lindy, I am sorry. There are some just truly miserable people out there. I really hope someone saw something.

Hopefully this will give you a little something to look forward to!

Through a combined effort of me and my husband sitting, stepping, kicking, pushing, and tape wrapping, I got Edie22's package ready to go!!

Lindy, I am so sorry to hear about your break in Sad People can be so heartless. Glad that you and your son are ok.

I wasn't able to send out my package today as planned. I was side tracked by a sick kid and my own crappy weekly doctor appointment. I think I'll send out with my Small flat rate package in a few days.
