Hi!

I'm Elien and I live in Belgium, I'm visiting New York in august 2010(Yeah I'm early but I can't wait with planning my trip  Cheesy).
This will be my first time visiting America and New York so I was wondering if someone could give me some advice or useful websites.
Do you know a lot of places that I must see or do? I already saw that I can get a metro card for a week for 25 dollar and that there's a free ferry where you pass the statue of liberty. Are there other things like that?
And do you know of great craft supplies/food that you only find in the USA?

Thanks for the help!

Elien

Elien,

Make sure you get to Central Park - you can rent bikes pretty cheaply or you can just walk around.  It's beautiful during the summer.

Ellen's Stardust Diner is a lot of fun, I've gone twice and it was great!

Is central park really that big? I was planning to visit it but I don't really know what to expect of it. The Diner looks great! I'll keep that in mind:)

Central Park is 843 acres!!  Here's a site for it:  http://www.centralparknyc.org/site/PageNavigator/aboutpark_history_faqs

You'll have a great time!
