I'm not big into halloween or dressing up for it. Until this morning I had no idea what I was going to do. Then I saw Craftzine link to this knit version of a brain slug from Futurama. Originally I was going to do that but I decided it would look better in felt, and to be honest I was a little too lazy to go out and buy the yarn for it. Thankfully I had everything I needed in my house, so after two prototypes and a few hours it was done!

i played with the idea of leela as an easy costume, as my hair is already purple. i don't know a good way to make me a cyclops, so if one of you craftsters have a great idea please tell me!

Cheesy i love this so much!!!  I may have to make this for my hunny for our anniversary ( i bought him alternate universe fry and leela action figures for that date as well and i am looking out for more crafts to go with this theme) We went as alternate universe fry and leela on our first halloween together. erdbeerblau- what i did to make my self a cyclops was to use leela's natural bangs to sweep over my other eye ( i don't enjoy things blocking my vision) I may post the pics one day. Wink Thanks for the idea ( i am making the knitted bender for him)

This is awesome,  I've been meaning to post my brain slug.  I actually made this last halloween for my "costume", as I worked in an office and really couldn't dress up.

I love Futurama and I loved your brain slug! So I decided to make my
own to wear while giving out candy and running errands on Halloween
day.
