I made this dress from a skirt that my mom got at a thrift store for $.99! It looks like it took forever, but it was only about a 15-20 min project! I cut it down to size, and used the part that I cut off to make sleeves that I gathered in three places. Then I gathered the skirt to make pick-ups, and sewed on bows.

That is just the cutest thing!!  I have a pile of great skirts I've bought to cut down for my big girls, but I haven't tried to make a complete dress from one.  I might have to do that for my youngest daughter.  It's adorable!
