I'm sorry I'm not sure how to spell squeaking, but anyway.
My sewing machine has been just fine. I haven't been using it a lot, but today I wanted to use it again and it squeeks!
I'm quite sure it's the 'machinery' on the right that squeacks not the bobbin part.
Please help me. Is there anything I have probably done wrong with tension? Or does my machine need some upkeep? Oiling or something? (I wouldn't know how to do this.. or dare to do this so I'll have to take it to the shop). (I own a Pfaff select 3.0)
The last time I sewed I haven't noticed any vague squeeking at all, it came all of a sudden, just now.
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what it is.
Thank you Smiley

1.) Check your manual and read the section on cleaning and maintenance.  Following the directions given.

2.) If you have been using the machine very frequently, and it has been more than 8 months since it's last trip in to the tech for servicing/tuneup/maintenance, then it may be time for it to go in for routine maintenance again.

3.) Still not sure what to do- call the shop from where you purchased the machine, explain the issue and I'm sure they will provide guidance.

Thanks.. The manual doesn't really have a lot of help in it.
Actually I haven't been using the thing regularly. (it hadn't been used a few months..)
I guess I'll drop by at the store and ask about it..

I would just try oiling it first.

I don't think I dare to do that. I don't know how it works, I don't have any oil and am afraid I will do it wrong.
Do you have tips?

It's not hard. Your manual should have a description/diagram of where to put the oil.  You should be able to get it at a craft store.
