Matilda?!  can she waltz?  she's neat, though.  and i think her face is more expressive than the AGs from over here.

craft-related, i especially like the pyjamas.
lol she can Waltz, she can do anything! she is Australian afterall, and we are the lucky country Wink I actually thought her expression was a lil odd looking haha. thank you for the kind comments on the PJ's

I love Matilda's dress & bolero.  Runner-ups: PJs and backpack.  Hand stitched?  Wow!  I've never heard of this line of dolls.  I'm going to check them out.  This one is beautiful.  How is caring for that curly hair?
Thank you thank you Smiley They're a lil small, they were made with a Simplicity pattern for the AMG dolls so I know next time to modify it a lil for the Australian Girl. So far the hair hasn't been an issue at all.

I love your website Emily Rose, I end up browsing around on there quite often!

Australian Girl Dolls found here http://www.australiangirldoll.com.au/  and for the most part the dolls are great but the clothes... well they leave something to be desired Wink

I actually thought her expression was a lil odd looking haha.

there is something a little "off", maybe in the proportions of the features?  but not as bland as the American Girl dolls.  oh i will probably make people mad saying that...

So Sorry everyone who asked questions about my dolls clothes.  Life got busy and I forgot to check back.

Let's see the 1940's dress is a pattern from Bunny Bear's patterns  this particular pattern is not available anymore but she has other's.

The Apron is from Sew Boutique 4 Dolly

The Pioneer dress is Butterick 4699

And the hoodie and Jeans are from Butterick 4089

I am enjoying seeing everyone else's clothing!

I just made this outfit last night for my girl because I didn't want her in all black anymore. the top is from an old t-shirt and is tied corset style in the back. the skirt is a bandanna.

top for my boy, made from same t-shirt.

The top of this is made from a pair of my moms old pj pants. her pants are from an old pair of my work pants. The bag is from some fabric I've had for awhile.

Thank you Smiley
They are bjds (ball-jointed dolls). The first girl is 65cm, the boy is 64cm, and the second girl is 60cm. They are big, but I love the size. I have much smaller ones too and one that is bigger. Lots of beautiful dolls in the expensive hobby.

I thought they were BJD's, but I didn't realize they made them so big. Your dolls look great in their handmade clothes!

i think the original BJDs were 1:3 scale and were 60+cm (23+ inches) range.  i was fairly relieved when they started making them in sizes (and prices) that i could manage.  i have some in the 1:4 scale (16-17inches tall) and smaller, all the way down to some that are around 1:12 (dollhouse dolls' size).
let me tell you, i would NOT want to sew that small, but there are people who do!

now the 1:4 scale (often called MSD), is fairly fun to sew for.  i am just starting to work on that, and hope to post some things soon.

oh also, for people who are members at DenOfAngels:
some good tutorials for sewing doll clothes without patterns:
http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?231385-Anyone-Can-Sew-Jeans-Tutorial-%28All-sizes-Pattern-Free%29
http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233318
http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238199
you can join that forum for free, even if you don't have BJDs.  it's not that great as a friendly place to chat, but it's great as a resource for information (both, i think, have to do with the fact that the membership is so HUGE)

nataluna; I have all those bookmarked already XD  I'm LuckyXIII on DoA if anyone else is there.

Now that I finally made a shirt, I need to try and make one with sleeves. I also want to make a vest for another of my boys.
