I found my AG Samantha doll in the closet.  I'd saved up for her for so long when I was younger and I thought I'd take her out and display her.  When I was younger I didn't have the sewing skills to make clothes for my dolls, so why not make her some clothes now?

Please feel free to post the clothes that you've made for your dolls.  They can be Barbies, 18" dolls, baby dolls, BJD's, poppets... any doll!

Here's the dress I just got done making.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  Its a periwinkle fabric and the embroidery is a pretty shiny thread.

What a pretty dress you made!
Here's one I made for my niece's 3rd birthday.

I used McCall's 4814 for my niece's dress, using patchwork for the tiers and making each one about 2 inches shorter than the pattern called for. I initially was inspired by Vegbee's GORGEOUS dresses, here

but she has much more patience than me!
For the doll dress, I just drew a smaller version of the child's dress pattern top, and used smaller squares for the tiers of the skirt.

Thanks!

hollyrh- I love the matching girl/doll clothes.  I always wanted to dress like my doll when I was younger, but I was too chubby.  Your niece will be so cute in that!

What a fun thread!

Here is a dress and a hoodie I made for my 27cm Obitsu doll.  I plan to make more clothes, but this is all I've had time to make so far.

I did not make the jeans, I bought them from parabox.com

What a great idea amigurl55. I like the dress you made for your AG. I've made a few fr my daughter's doll of a similar type, but nothing as cute as that. Did you use a pattern? I have a My Friend Jenny Doll from the 70's that was given to me by a friend. She has no clothes and I've been meaning to make her some. When I had this doll I was about 5 years old, and my Mom had made a whole wardrobe for her. maybe some day I'll take some time off from making new dolls and outfit her.

Thanks!  I used Simplicity pattern 2768.  Here's another dress I made from that pattern.  The bead trim took forever because I had to hand sew it on.
