hi,
I am new to this forum even though I have been knitting for a while. I love reading about and seeing pictures of all the great work you are all doing. I am attaching a picture of my daughter in a matching hat and scarf I knitted for her in very soft cashmerino.
she loves them!

Those are beautiful.  I just discovered cashmerino, and I think it's my new favorite.  My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey--do you have a good (cheap) source for your yarn? I've seen it on ebay a few times, but I've never had the guts to bid.

Oh how beautiful (both the child and the handknits). I love knitting for my three year old - the pieces knit up so quickly. That being said, I like www.elann.com for different and inexpensive yarns and www.smileysyarns.co m - the former has high end and very interesting stuff - the later has more mundane but really cheap. Hope that helps.

thanks for the yarn-buying tips. i hadn't yet found a place to buy yarn cheap - i usually just buy whatever i can find on sale, then find projects for which i can use it.
