Well, I've been lurking around here long enough.  Time to jump in.

I'm working out the bugs for the design of a cool cell phone case and thought I'd post my first attempt.

It is made of deerhide and eyelash yarn.  A very easy project once you get the template for your phone straight.  I need to shorten the strap and add a choke to it so it can be worn on the wrist.  But overall, I love the fuzziness of it.

I worked on a few again last night.  The one with the black crochet has the right strap length I think.

I can almost tell on the white yarn one...but just to make sure...are the sides all crochet?

That is so darn clever...I have a change purse cut out of leather and I think I may do the crochet thing to it...it'd at least be different the just sewed together...

Yes, it is all crochet.

If there is interest I can work this into a tutorial with pictures.

I really like those! If only I had a cell phone Huh

You know, my credit is terrible so I went online to attwireless.com and they have these things called "go phones" that you only pay for what you are going to use.  I bought a refurbished phone for $10 and pay like $40 per month and get free weekends and free long distance.  Just a suggestion.  I got the phone in like less than a week.

And those phone covers are so cute!!  I love the first one you did with the eyelash yarn.  Great idea and so cute!!

These are wonderful. Do they have a thing where you can fasten and unfasten the strap, like an snap or button? I couldn't see.
