Hi ladies-

I need your help =) I run a mini wedding design business (doing favor, monograms, etc) and am looking to build a PROFESSIONAL website! =) I am currently on blogger, and it doesn't look the greatest.

I used to LOVE geocities, but they are closing down soon! (DARN!) and love their drag and drop online editor. Know any places similar?

I know someone from here who used to run lemonade accessories, and I loved their site but lost all the hosting info when I got a new computer, help me out?

Post any ideas please for where I could 1) Design a site or 2) get a template!

If you help, I will link you on my site to your business! =) THANKS!  Grin

I recommend Wordpress. You can do so much on there. If you are a new to websites it will be a bit of a learning curve. But with time and patience I think you can achieve this business website. Good luck!

I just got Webeasy 8 from ebay - looks like it's easy
I've used FrontPage for 10 yrs - it's a little hard to get used too, but easy once you get the knack of it.

I also saw on tv, http://www.intuit.com/ has really cheap webhosting with all the bells and whistles to get your site seen......
Check it out.

Intuit has a lot of spam and phishing history problems. I wouldn't go there.

I don't know what phishing is, but it dosen't sound good.
Well, thats kinda crappy, I was also thinking of doing my boyfriends website using intuit.....won't anymore, thanks for letting me know.
Guess I'll keep with the "do it from scratch" frontpage that I'm used too.

I'm currently using http://www.weebly.com, so far it's going great and all I have to do is do some socializing/finish up some other pictures. I don't think there's anything bad about it so far, the only e-mail I received from them is about them missing me for not logging in for so long Cheesy. If anyone knows about bad things on this site please do tell me!

I agree with the Wordpress recommendation. It's really easy to use and very flexible. I actually wrote a post on my blog a few months ago about how to use Wordpress to build a simple website for your craft business:

I've also heard good things about Big Cartel - more of a shopping cart, but it looks nice and simple and it's supposed to be easy to use:

If you know any HTML or CSS you should look into Free CSS templates. You download them, open them with Notepad ++ (a free program) and customize them with your content. I use nearlyfreespeech as my webhost.

I'm also in the process of selling my bags on Wordpress - I've been bouncing around this-selling-place and that-selling-place, and am totally tired of rules and limitations!
