I am making a series of scarves called The Florida Scarf as they are lightweight and slightly openworked. Each one is named for a Florida landmark, place, or association. This is Ybor Tobacco, named for Ybor City-the part of Tampa where the cigar business has been around for over a century.

Done with wattle stitch in brown and variegated Super Saver yarns.

I wasn't sure what wattle stitch was and looked it up on youtube, it looks complicated, but only because it seems like a stitch you have to think about and I like to not really think when I'm crocheting LOL. Your scarf is really pretty I love verigated yarns

It's actually really easy to keep track of, even more so because since the work is turned the pattern is the same for every row. I didn't have to think about it much at all after the foundation row.
