Details of swap:
This is going to be a Christmas themed swap, since send outs will be close to Christmas. It shouldnt cost too much to make 2 pages for this swap so Im classing it as a medium, it really shouldnt cost more than $10-$15 to make.
By Time - Medium = 2 or more hours
By Price - Medium = $10-$30 dollars

You will need to create 2 (two) 8 x 8 inch (approx 20x20cm) scrapbook pages in a Christmas theme to send to your partner. On the layouts you must include  the following:
-   One photo mat to fit a 6 x 4 photo (remember to cut the photo mat slighter larger for a 6 x 4 photo to fit on, I usually make it 1/8 inch bigger on each edge)
-   A journaling spot This can be in the form of a simple journaling block, journaling strips, tags, stamped on, drawn lines (theres no limit here only your imagination) You can make the journaling visible or tucked in a pocket etc
-   All items must be acid and lignin free
-   The pages must measure 8 x 8 inches (approx 20x20cm)

The rest is in your creative hands, you can add more photo mats (remember to let your partner know what size photo to put on the mat if it is smaller and photos need cropping) Theres no limit of what to put on the layouts, think paper piecing, rub ons, sewing, stickers, chipboard, punchies,  bling/rhinestones, diecuts, ribbons, eyelets/brads, stamping, painting, doodling etc.

If you have a wist why not add a few of your favourite layouts youve seen to it so your partner can get some ideas of what youd like. If you google Christmas layouts you will also get heaps more inspiration and ideas.
When sending your layouts to your partner, remember to pack the envelope with a piece of hard card/chipboard to stop it being bent and to put it in some kind of ziplock bag or page protector.

Communication is also important so please post a least once a week in the thread and remember to PM the organizer and your partner when you send and receive. If shipping inside the United States, you must get a DC# and if youre shipping outside the United States you must be able to show a copy of your postage receipt (scanned or photographed)
If you have any questions about the swap please do not hesitate to PM me

If you want to participate, remember to PM the information to crafty_one, please put Scrapbook Swap in the subject line.

Well, I'd promised myself I wouldn't sign up for anymore swaps before Christmas, but this one is really tempting.

One question though, would it be possible to request full sized 12x12 scrapbook pages? My scrapbook is that sized so an 8x8 wouldn't fit.

I was thinking this as well , it's probably something we could agree upon with our partner's.

Yes thats possible, if you and your partner both agree to it, I thought I'd make this and 8 x 8 inch page swap to keep postage costs down. If everyone prefered 12 x 12 pages I'll change this for future scrapbook swaps! Grin

I'd love 8x8, I have a little scrapbook that I haven't updated in a long time, and my Grandma will be staying (probably for the last time) this christmas, so it'll be great to have a little memento.

I would be interested in this swap.  I'd probably see if my partner would be willing to do 12" x 12" but I can always put an 8" x 8" on a 12" x 12" mat for my album if I needed too.

I'm very excited for this swap! I can't wait to find out about my partner so I can start!  I would prefer for me 8x8 but I can totally make 12x12 for my partner if that's what they want.
