I just finished this dress yesterday,i use black cotton fabric, and make the string around the waist , can tie the waist up on the left to make more fit .plastic buttons.
I like the dress waist because it look like wave when i pull the string.

Grin  Using fine and light cotton, make the sleeves big and width like the birds wing,

How unusual! This is very attractive, the details and shape work well with the simple fabric.

Nice work. I really like the dress. The top of the dress fits very nicely and the buttons are a cute detail.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

Yes the dress falls so nicely, very flattering. And it looks simple enough.

Your technical skills are awesome (sorry, the teacher in me comes out!)...beautifully crafted...the details are done very well (omg, the best cuffs I have seen on here!)...also love the design and your use of casings/drawstrings...I am so glad that you chose plain fabrics to show off the details...details are so often lost when prints are used...

Absolutely beautiful work...

oh--and your placket on the white top is also exceptional... Grin

You can!!! Practice practice practice--and keep posting! It is so wonderful when I see the progression of all the members from even six months ago--everyone learns from each item and even if you have sewn for years, you still learn!

The main thing is to love it and go for it!! Plus, most people will love what you make no matter how little experience you have--they are just amazed you sew!  Cheesy

The dress is cute.  The top seems so comfy.  The attention to detail is what really gets my attention.  How long have you been sewing?
