I've been playing around with ivory soap shreds and a nice rebatch came up for me.  Oatmeal and Ivory - makes the stuff smell much better, and is a very nice scrub.

However, I've made beer bread (two kinds - banana beer bread and a salty herbal kind), and need a use for not bubbly beer.  I've drank about half of the tall boy, and I'm wondering if I can add it to the soap I've been rebatching as an additive.

These things (if they work) would probably sell like wildfire in my college.

Hilarious. That would be awesome. Lol... then you could make soap for people depending on what their favorite beer is. Ivory should mix well. Hopefully the color is not too unappealing!

Modified because I cannot read gud!

So long as your beer is flat, you could most definitely use it as the liquid in rebatch. BUT, you want it to be totally flat!

Thanks, what would happen if the beer wasn't totally flat?

Anyone got a good method for rebatching?  I've been doing it in the microwave, and my roommates are about to kill me - Ivory does not smell pleasant when heated.

Honestly the microwave is my favorite method. I know it stinks but uh, try to sell them on the "it's really nice on your skin," concept! The other method I've tried and used is the faithful crock pot method. You just put it in the crock pot, on low, and stir every few minutes until totally melted and combined.

I'm not sure what exactly would happen if it weren't flat, but I have a feeling it would be weird.
