December 30th
we had a guitar hero tournament at my boyfriend's best friend house:

Dec 31st
Having his 12 grapes (it took a lot more than the 12 bells for him to eat them, he said they were huge for his beak)


Jan 2nd
we went to Real del Monte (a beautiful town next to my in laws house)

After taking a walk... we had to have a beer!!! Here he has been drinking a lot... two of the best mexican beers!

Gus arrived on friday! Just in time for halloween and day of the dead (here in mexico we celebrate day of the dead better than Halloween)

here  he is comming out of his envelope and brought chocolates!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome!!!

After that he decided to explore the house (and to climb on the kitchen's whiteboard)


HALLOWEEN
first of all we went to the best pizza place in Metepec: Pizza Mecha, here he is standing below the sign


then we went to a bar (called mecha too! It belongs to a friend of ours, the same as the pizza place) Pictured: boyfriend, gus (or his legs at least), me, my brother and Gus again


he got a little drunk with Tequila

mmm actually a lot drunk! He got into the ice basket and when we took it out he was literally dropping!!!
but no picture of that though!

NOVEMBER 6TH
We went to mexico city to see my brother, there Gus met a beaver... and my evil brother thought it was fun to put him into a pan and put him some butter as pillow...


we went there to my nieces firs communion (is it called like that??) which was in Basilica de Guadalupe (one of Mexico's most important churches, and of all latin america I think, where the Virgen de Guadalupe appeared)


and just because they looked beautiful... my nieces!

Winnie comes home with me and it gets very hot there, so she takes off her lovely scarf and hat to enjoy some Sonic strawberry limeade with me.

Winnie is all bundled up for the first snow of the year!


Winnie helping decorate my grandparents' Christmas tree! She found a perfect place to hang out while the tree rotated around with her on it, like a mini carousel!  

She was so excited on Christmas morning that she literally dove into her present!


And here she is, ringing in 2010 with some sparkling white grape cider. I think she really likes her sweatshirt but it was time for a little change of pace, so she put her lovely scarf and hat back on:

And this amazing Message-In-A-Bottle necklace that I worn to class yesterday! I love it! (also, action shot to come!)




Here are the things I got from Disney!! A big pin that says "I'm Celebrating!" because AlishaMisha went there for her birthday A collection of maps from all the different parts of the park, a awesome Mickey Mouse straw and a pen from the restort she stayed at! (Also, her amazing post card from Maine that somehow ended up in this picture)


Last but not least, a big bag of Nerds candies, Icebox's favorite!

So Zazie arrived last week, safe and sound in her little box!

Today we played in the snow while we waited for the kids to go to school. Since i'm not at my own house I didn't have any supplies to make Amey a scarf, so she had to borrow one of the boys. It's a little big on her...

NOVEMBER 22
Today Amey and I babysat my 3 little brothers and spent a lot of time reading all the cookie magazines we picked up from the store. I see a lot of baking in our future...

16th November - At the Wales Office

The day I handed in my resignation with a big huge massivo sigh of relief!!!!  Here is Dotty with one of my bosses shortly after I surprised her with the news!




14th November - Food with the in-laws

Enjoying curry from our fave indian restaurant with the in-laws.  Since Dotty is a veggie she partook in onion bhaji and salad for starters and then a generous portion of bombay potatoes!



Yum, Dotty's first taste of my faaaavourite booze, Martini Asti  She'll be tasting a whole lot more of it during her stay




10th November - At the office

Today Dotty came to visit my office and keep me company.  I had to keep her out of the way of the office dogs just in case they took too much of a liking to her!  Here she is being disgusted by my messy desk

 

As usual Rowlf the office bully tried to assert his authority!



But as usual he was beaten by a girl!




7th November - Crafting

Dotty took an active part in helping me to craft today, she's very talented!

 


6th November - Dotty arrives!

Yey, Dotty has arrived  And she brought some sweeeeeties for my sweet tooth, I'm afraid I ate the Crunchi Mallows almost immediately which is why the pack might look a little flat...



She helped me prepare some roast veggies for our tea, nyum nyum!

 

And later on she snuggled up in my cosy poncho to recover from her jetlag

Icebox has arrived!


10/28/09 - Boston -> Miami -> Orlando
The bigging of our vacation was a lil rough. We were suppose to leave at 7:45am but our plane broke twice (Fuel Gasket and then it was leaking fuel) so we had to change planes. Long story short, we arrived in Florida at 6pm when we were suppose to be there at 1:20pm. Soooooo....Here is Icebox admiring our "new" plane coming in while we sit at Logan Airport (Boston). And he got his own seat to Miami!




Time to take the Magical Express bus to our resort!!! (Pop Century - 1950's)



10/30/09 - Magic Kingdom
Town Square Train Station all decked out for Halloween!


Meeting Mickey and Minnie!!!! Both Minnie and Mickey gave him a big hug and kiss!!


A package for me from my brother and sister-in-law arrived on the 29th(my birthday) but I didn't know about it until the next day. So I had my birthday wish after a day in MK. Icebox sang me Happy Birthday

Sorcerer Mickey Hat!(DHS) Icebox decided to try it on


Sci-Fi Dine-In for dinner before seeing Fantasmic! It's an indoors drive in where you sit in cars, eat and watch old clips from the ole times Here is Icebox watching one now!


And here he is helping me guzzle down a Lunar Landing (Amaretto, Peach Schnapps, Orange Juice and a Blinking Ice Cube!)

Here is the whole package all together! Look at Winnie's new sweatshirt from Heather's college! Doesn't she look comfy and extra tiny?


Some awesome and cute fabric! A cute bracelet that I'm wearing at the moment. Earings(thank you for thinking of my allergies!). And a shot glass from Joe's Crab Shack! I have heard about it and wanted to go but the closest one is in PA. Since I started flying to FL instead of driving I don't really get the chance to go to VA anymore so I have no idea when I will get the chance to go...Maybe I will take a trip down there to go everywhere Winnie has! I actually needed a shot glass really bad! I was trying to make a drink one night and needed a shot glass. Have no idea why my parents don't own any...


Heather painted me a picture of a fantail goldfish! I don't own anything goldfishy besides my actual goldfish! Love it! She also sent some chocolates with a lion on the box that looks like Roary! Yeah...ummm...the chocolates are already gone because...well...qu ite honestly I have no self control    And there is the scrapbook she made of Winnie's adventures!


Look who Winnie brought home with her! A name is to come later...  Here is Winnie in her new sleeping bag!


Heather made Winnie and her best friend, Roary, matching scarves! They are showing them off as if they are in a Banana Republic mag. Don't they look adorable in their new scarves!
