***Update: I added fringe to the shade...found the perfect stuff in my stash recently retrieved from storage. Also added the much requested and giggled over pictures with the lamp on. See below previous post for additions. ****

I forgot, in my haste to make this lampshade go away, to take a before pic, but picture this shade in a colour best described as "greite" (nasty grey and white...little cream thrown in) and you have it. Several small pieces of fabric swatches later:

(Please ignore laundry.)

All the swatches were just attched with glue and then at joins and seams, I randomly placed copper and gold brads of two sizes, here and there putting them through copper, gold, or red flower sequins for a little contrast.

And now!:

On (not my head):

LOL!!!!! Oh my god, I am so stupid. I stared at your comment for about two minutes thinking, "On what? On my head?" Which I thought was a weird question before realising I am deeply strange and possibly demented. Definitely challenged.

Once there are new batteries in the camera, yes, I will take a few with THE LAMP ON! (god, I'm dumb! Smiley )

And thank you!!

Bordella Chic is beautiful.  Love your shade.  But have to tell that I laughed so hard that almost choked on the cookie I was snarfing down when I read your comment in response to "any pics with it on".

I laughed at least that hard when I realised how very very stupid I was. Smiley

How cool! Now I want to make one! I must say, though, that the fringe on the bottom really finishes off the whole design.

I just found the fringe by chance in my stuff and when I put it on, I thought the same thing. It looked cute before, it looks polished now.

This is the easiest re-do ever. Anyone who hasn't tried making a new lampshade because they aren't so much with creating a new cover out of a pattern from the old (like me!) will find this a really easy project to do. It's almost impossible to screw up.
