Has anyone dealt with Fire Mountain Gems?

I am hoping to start an online bead supply store and have been considering Fire Mountain as a wholesale supplier. 

It is great to know that they send out orders promptly and that the customer service is so good.  I haven't ordered yet but have talked with them on the phone and they seemed very friendly.

Also thanks for the other sites that you all recomended.  The more variety I am able to carry the better.  So it is nice to see other options for wholesale relationships.

I just ordered a somewhat large order from FMG. Now you can ship anything for $5 through FedEx ground, regardless of weight.
I was really impressed by their all-assortable pricing, too. The savings from that were close to half the price of my order. (I got about 50 items.)

I haven't gotten the order, but from the good things i've heard, their good prices, and great customer service, I most likely won't order anywhere else from now on.

My forum is based in the UK and we often place orders with FMG as a group as shipping to the UK is fairly expensive (plus we have to pay customs on top), but even with shipping and customs added on we still get great prices (and great products)! Delivery to the UK is always pretty quick too.

The only thing to watch out for is the quality of their gemstones, if they are described as anything less then top grade I would avoid them.

I've heard wayy to many horror stories from  FMG to ever order from them.

I've done a couple orders from Fire Mt. and they've been fine. Mind you, I order delica beads and stringing materials -- nothing as variable as stones. For stones, when I used to indulge, I'd buy in person, or if I needed to mail order I tended towards the Rio Grande catalog.

FMG is the one place I've found ELASTIC velvet ribbon, so far, and I am having loads of fun with it. If it proves to have decent durability, I'll get more...

Like what?  I placed an order last weekend and I haven't heard yet if it has been shipped or not.

I have ordered from fire mountain a couple times, and never had a problem. I like the free gifts too.  Always fun to get something free in the mail!

Be careful when using the $5 flat rate shipping. It takes up to 3 weeks for the items to arrive, and I've had FedEx deliver to the wrong address twice. They (FedEx) don't take as much care with the $5 flat rate shipments as they do the regular ones.
I've never ever had a problem when I do priority shipping though.

I love FMG.  like someone else said, I've only ever not cared for the free gift once.  I don't remember what it was though.  I sometimes get shell pendants that I'm not crazy about, but I figure maybe someone will benefit from my having it to use in a piece of jewelry.  and so they did.  I made my mom this gorgeous necklace with one of the pendants and everyone who saw it went crazy over it.  FMG is a great place to get a good chunk of your beading needs.

I got my order, and got some free seed beads with it. I had ordered the boss' bag of beads, and wasn't impressed...I wish I didn't, but, now I know not to buy it again.
