I love FMG! I did get some pretty horrible pearls and a tacky (cheap plastic frame) display mirror the last time around, I returned it, and the money was back in my account immediately.  And they're fast!

There are only 2 places I have ever ordered from. FMG and www.artbeads.com    I love them both, although artbeads is great bc they have free shipping, no mimimum order.  They are also very fast and high quality.

I love Fire Moutain for a whole list of reasons.
I ordered Wednesday, got it today. (I ordered with Fex Ed 3-5 day shipping)
The always include cool stuff. I think I've only gotten one bummer thing (and that's only because I don't use iron on transfers)
Plus! they're the cheepest I've found Swarovski crystals at ::squee:: love them sooo much.

FMG does have a lot of down falls which is why I hardly ever shop there.  The quality of their beads to me is not up to my standards.  I've heard from other wholesalers that the reason they can sell items so cheaply is because they buy seconds... I've had countless times when I've received broken beads, beads with no holes in them, or completely the wrong item.  (I.E.  I ordered emerald green cubes and got Heishe strands... how does one make that mistake???).

I've always tried to weigh out their shipping prices as well.  It seems they really stick it to you on the shipping... the cheapest I've ever been able to get something from them is around $7 for the shipping.  That's too much in my book unless I'm spending a lot of money.

Personally, I would try some of the other places with higher quality.. but that's just me.

Hey, there!

Am a lampworker (I make my own glass beads)  and beader in  Wisconsin and have been ordering from Fire Mountain for about 2 years.  I absolutely love this company.  Great customer service ( even when I asked a really dorky question), great prices and had no problem with returning things (for any reason)..   Had to return acouple of tiny things (cannot remember what now) and a set of pearls that were not what I thought they would be and had no problem.  Couldn't you look at their catalogs all day long?

Just was turned on to Crafster from my darling daughter and hope to post some of the beads soon.

Good luck!

I recently had ordered from FMG.  All previous orders were always fine, arrived quickly, things packaged nicely.  However, this last order proved to be frustrating.

Here's the story... When I got the order, I checked to see if everything was there, and noticed that I got the wrong type of ziplock bags.  I had ordered ones that had the white block on them, and got the same size minus the block.  Sent an email, got a response that I could keep the wrong batch, and that they would send out the correct ones at no charge.  Nice, right?  Well, when the new package arrived, I was about ready to smack someone... It was the SAME thing they had sent me before.  Same size, again, no white block.  I then called, and they said they would check the bin the item was supposed to be in.  Got a call the next day saying that yes, the wrong item was in the bin, and that they would send me the correct item at no charge again.

While I finally have the things I ordered, it was still a pain to wait an extra two weeks for what I had originally ordered.  Not one, but two order pickers can't do their jobs there.  It's not that hard to look in the bag and see that there aren't any white blocks on the ziplock bags inside.  People make mistakes, but this involved the  person who packed the bin, and the two people who "checked" the order.  That was very annoying.  Not sure if I'll be ordering again any time soon.  Definitely searching for other places to order from that have much lower shipping charges too.

If you ever need sterling silver stuff, check out bluemud.com.  A couple of my coworkers have bought from there and they say it's awesome.  The prices are way cheaper than FMG, and shipping is only $1.95!!
