This doll took me so long to crochet! I used my original doll pattern and changed it up a little bit.
I used plastic doll eyes and crocheted eyelids. I took watered down fabric paint to make the dark circles around the eyes. I thought it came out ok but I would like to find a different way of doing it with the next one I make. Any suggestions would be awesome!
For the belts that go around him I just sewed on jump rings and I used bigger ones for belt buckles.
The hair is just acrylic yarn. I actually used one of my daughters millions of barbie brushes because I am to cheap to  run out and buy a mohair brush.  Grin I just brushed it and frizzed it until I got the look I was wanting.
I think that's it.
Oh and the scissors are chenille sticks (pipe cleaners) that I wrapped with yarn and bent into the shapes of scissors. I just simply sewed them on.
This one is on his way to Canada for a personal swap I done.

I think I will give this one another go though so if anyone has any suggestions for him that would be great! Thanks

I love how you used the jump rings for the details.  I think this easily could have been overworked but you did a fantastic job.  I wish I was the recipient of this cutie.  Now I think I need to go watch this movie.  Great Job!

Knitting goal for 2011: knit 500,000 stitches.  24,078/500,000 knit.  I think I'm going to need more yarn...

I think you did a great job.  And, since you asked for suggestions: Try black eye shadow for his eyes if you make him again instead of paint.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

This is uber cute! You captured the character while retaining the novelty of crochet. It's wonderful!
