Recycle an Old Sweater! Make A Beaded Beanie+Mittens Set (tutorial link incl.)

Just made this beaded beanie yesterday out of an old sweater! I also made matching mittens! I read the threadbanger tutorial a few months ago and decided I'd try making my own, except with a cuff.

It only took me ~10-15 minutes to hand-sew it all up, but it would probably take less than 5 minutes if I had my sewing machine at school with me!

Definitely try it out! It's super easy and a great way to recycle an old sweater

That is super cute! I really want to make one now, so thanks for the tute. My only question is, did the knit unravel at all? Or did you just use a sweater with a small enought knit that it didn't?

thanks for the feedback everyone! the knit hardly ever unraveled. I used a basic forever21 sweater, you can see the type of knit here in this close up picture http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy35/musingofsorts/Picture5-1.jpg
