I had to share this quilt that my grandmother and friend made almost 100 years ago.  Every time I visit my mother I keep meaning to take pictures and this past weekend I finally got some snaps.  I aspire to be as good as this, I can't even imagine how long it took but I know this, it was definately done by hand!

the whole thing

a close up of the yoyo's

the other side, I can't say bad side, b/c they are both amazing

where is spends most of its time

Please enjoy

It is absolutely wonderful! And the shape that the yo yo's were configured in makes it a real show piece. Thanks for sharing.

That is amazing.  I have a yo-yo obsession, so this is right up my alley.  I have never seem one where the yo-yos are sewn together so securely like that.  Beautiful, and in such great shape, not even yellow.  Lucky duck!
