I'm trying to make this baby sweater....http://members.tripod.com/lwalters1-ivil/bauble.html

the instructions say this:
R9: k3, *k1, insert needle under horizontal strand of row below (between sts) and knit this st, repeat from * across, ending k4 (47 sts)

does this mean that i'm knitting the yarn between the stitches on my two needles?? that's what i did and it doesn't look right to me...someone please help!!!

What you want to do is the 'decorative increase' on this page (about 3/4 the way down the page) click on the little movie icon to see a movie of how it's done and hear an explanation.

(edited to actually include the link.  sheesh.  I can be a little airheaded sometimes)

I couldn't get the video to work, but from the picture and how they described it I guess I was doing it correctly all along! Sometimes you just needed that extra reassurance.....thanks for the help!
