your stitching is so sketch-like, it's beautiful.  I love the way you inserted color to show emotion.

I have a pretty similar story, your piece really made me double think what happened in that relationship.

You are brave...brave to face the emotions, brave to confront them. i know its hard. I've been there, not as bad, but know how difficult it is to get to the point you have got to...well done *hug*

plus your stitching is awesome!

That's a powerful piece of work you've created there. I hope you find a public place that will display it so the message can reach others who need to hear it. Thank you for sharing. I'm a little teary-eyed.

I've been more of a lurker than poster in the past year or so but had to comment on this.  Being a survivor of domestic abuse and looking back, for me, the fear was the worst part.  I cannot tell you how amazed I am at your bravery and honesty.  The stitching is gorgeous but the most powerful thing about this piece (to me at least) it that it sums up a story and a feeling in one little sentence and image.  Amazingly good job and thanks for sharing.

It's already been used several times, but the best word for this is powerful. Your piece conveys the feeling of fear and helplessness in a way that is both beautiful and moving- I have teary eyes. I find it hard to look at, and I didn't live through this. Thank you for having the strength and courage to face your painful memories and tell your story.
Also, might I suggest that you donate this piece to a local domestic violence shelter/ agency? It's so poignant; I'm sure a lot of survivors would identify with it. That is, when you are ready to let it go.

In the end, only kindness matters.

This is such a deeply moving and powerful piece that you have created. Thank you for sharing your story.
I hope creating the piece was therapeutic for you.
