I finally finished this piece.  the pot is appliqued.  the stems are satin stitched and the flowers are crocheted.  I liked doing the stems the best.  the flowers were killer.  thanks for looking.

Oh thank you!!  I got the idea from these old annie's pattern club magazines I picked up at my local Friends of the Library store.  The pattern for the original was cut out and I was forced to draw my own fronds and pot.  The flowers came from a pattern on the internet.

I love seeing different crafts being mixed together like this, it looks great.
(And I just have to add, I'm gonna try crocheting with some beads, I'm threading the crochet cotton, and a bead has gotten stuck under my A key on the laptop, ooops!)
