I'm super excited to share my first projects!! I just LOVE my new loom! I think weaving shows off art yarn fantasticaly!
This first shawl I'm using some beautiful yarn I fspun! It's tailspun kid mohair, rambo locks, xl merino locks, cotswold locks, fabric, bling, bamboo, sari silk, banana silk, and novelty yarn snippets. I started weaving before I even took good yarn shots!!

I used a bamboo/silk blend for the warp..
I am SOO excited!! I am LOVING the project!! It's just over 12" wide, 5' long (before fringe) shawl.

I just finished my second shawl and it's my most favorite thing EVER!! For the weft, I corespun the yarn from a fun mix of textured batts with a soft base of baby alpaca and cashmere. I added some strips of a colorful silk scarf, brightly dyed banana silk, and strands of rainbow sequins. I autowrapped the yarn in a silver holosparkle thread-
Yarn:

I used an organic cotton yarn in chocolate for the warp.
I wove it on my Ashford Knitters Loom. It's 18 inches wide and just over 6ft w/o fringe and just about 8ft with fringe. I LOVE LOVE how it turned out! I have 2 skeins left, so I'm going to make a scarf. Rewarping the loom today for another shawl this size! I just LOVE weaving!!
On Loom Texture-
