Teacup-palooza

About 10 months ago, I decided to try to throw the Perfect Teacup on the pottery wheel.

So far, I've thrown somewhere in the neighborhood of a billion.

Every surface of my apartment is covered in teacups.  I give the nice ones as gifts.  The ones who displease me are smashed with a sledgehammer & their shards used for mosaics.  I now have 3 that I like, but of course they don't match, so my new mission in life is a *matching set* of Perfect Teacups. 

Anyway, here is a small sampling of my teacup collection:


Yes, those are teacups stacked inside my sunhat. 


What used to be a windowsill & is now yet another teacup storage space.

Ah yes, KidWithKemikals, I liked that one too . . . until I realized that the inside glaze contained barium carbonate (what they put in rat poison).  No one ever gets to drink out of that poor teacup.

Oh my...I would totally love to have stacks of 'reject' teacups all over my house!! You should try to sell a box of them on craigslist...I'm sure someone would love to display them or smash them to use for projects also!

Wow, that's a lot of teacups.. I think my favorites are.. first picture, last row, 3rd one in- the squatty blue one.  And the little white one that's first in the second pic.. great stuff!

They are all pretty awesome though.
And LOL at the rat poison- that's really why I hesitate sometimes to buy handmade pottery. That is sad though- the inside is lovely.
