Its getting very cold here in WV, and my little doggy lives outside. He is part poodle and used to have the thickest, curliest fur, but he was sweating his ears off during the summer. So I gave him a haircut and it is taking longer than expected to grow back.

I felt bad because I'm the one who sheared him, so I sat down last night and by modifying this pattern slightly: http://www.canine-kids.com/crochet-dog-sweater.html, came up with this:

Mr. Baron Von McFluff, the worlds most perfect doggy model:

Design on the back:

I put it on him last night and he immediately started bouncing around like it made him the happiest dog in the world!

Feedback, comments appreciated, but I know he loves it so...  Grin

Poor guy might need TWO sweaters during the winter!!  Looks like he's really enjoying this one - very cute.

Awh both your doggies are adorable! I love the sweater Radickle, the colors are very fall, which is my favorite.

My dogs seem to get depressed when I put clothes on them. I do live in the hot desert... mebbe they are too hot to wear sweet sweaters or  cute costumes?

Well I know my gram's dog hates wearing clothes. I think it just depends on their temperament, cause Baron is very calm and relaxed.

I would like to get a thicker yarn, or just try using 2 strands for the next one, and maybe making a little bit longer to cover his bare heiny.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. And I will pass along the cute compliments to the pup, he will appreciate them.

Very cute! Your dog reminds me of my mom's doggy. My mom has a poodle/cocker spaniel mix.
