Edit: Now it's really done!

There is a video clip here: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/VziMcAEINVbUC_e5uFGhzg?feat=directlink

Hi all!
I'm currently putting together a mask for Halloween. It's a demon skull thingy ma bobber. I'm using WED Clay, plaster, silicone, crystal clear, urethane, and vaseline to do it.

The WIP is here on my web album. http://picasaweb.google.com/KatyHargrove1/HalloweenMask2009#

*Update*
More photos in album. I just cracked open the mother mold and pulled out the sculpt.

*Update 2*
Project complete!

Very interesting!  It looks good enough to be a movie prop.

Also - gotta love those technical terms!

Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the design and the process! I'll keep updating the album as work progresses. I'm going to cast the head and then sculpt some horns next. This weekend is looking like a lot of fun work. Smiley

It's WED clay, developed by Disney. Stays wet longer so I don't have to stress out about cracking in the clay. It's not that expensive and is super creamy. This site carries it:http://www.burmanfoam.com/estore/home.php?cat=42

Yep, everything here is set up so I can make an army of these guys. I hold the mother mold together with giant rubber bands while casting.
