We started our Halloween decorating this weekend and I wanted to share. Since money is tight, I'm doing a lot of handmade and recycling/re purposing this year.

Dinning room overview:

Life size witch scene, I found the pattern for the witch online (Martha stewart), but the other items (shelf, cauldron, spider) were freehand:

Our creepy table:

The "yucky" eggs, blown egg shells dyed with tea and some fishing lure maggots:

Care for a drink?, labels (all of them, seen next pics) were made by crumpling then smoothing out the printed pages and then dying them in tea for aged look. The blood is just corn syrup and food coloring:

Potion corner:

More pics of the specimen jars:

Frank & Jack, made from plastic canvas:

Two window scenes:

There are also paper mice and black cat shadows scattered around and some more plastic canvas things that I didn't remember to take pictures of. Now what to do next...

That looks wonderful!  I especially love the witch with Cauldron and shelf, they make the look.

Very cool! Frank and Jack are soooo super cute! The silhouettes look great too, I bet you're sick of cutting stuff out!
lol
I wish we did Halloween over here in Oz. It's just not that big here unfortunately Sad Probably a good thing for me anyways, it would just mean I'd have a bigger backlog of stuff to make! haha
